Howdy and welcome to my Goldwing in Tulsa page, I'm an old motorcycle rider from back in the 1970's getting back into the two-wheeled lifestyle. My goal is to "Have Fun" and thats it! I'm not trying to be a "Biker" I'm just going to have fun on two wheels. I first wanted a Harley, hey I'm over 50 and you're supposed to have a Harley right? Well since I haven't ridden in some time and the thought of spending $30,000 for the Harley I wanted (a Tri-Glide) I thought I'd start off with a bike that I could pay cash for and re-kindle the passion I had for riding back in the day.
This is a 1982 Honda Goldwing GL1100, the main reason I bought this bike was simple, it had been garage kept, well maintained and had a total of 35,000 actual miles. The former owner had spent many dollars installing Chrome and detailing parts on the bike then realized that he was leary to ride, their loss my gain.
The fun part of riding is finding those less traveled roads where you can enjoy the scenery as it passes by, it is my goal to find those roads in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma. Everyone's heard and watched the programs on Sturgis, or Daytona Bike week but I want to find those roads in and around Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri that I could make in a day or two have fun but at the end of the day sleep in my own bed.
